The reason why Everton are deducted two more points is that Profit and sustainability rules (PSR) allow the clubs a spending power of 105 million euros over the period of three seasons. However, upon intense investigation, the independent commission found that Everton had breached the figure by an exceeding amount of 16.6 million euros in the 2022-23.
Will Everton Survive In The Premier League
It will be interesting to see whether Everton makes it out of the relegation battle at the end of the season or not, as Sean Dyche's side are now 16th with 27 points and are ahead of 18th placed Luton Town by merely 2 points, but with one game less being played. In case if the penalty isn't reversed, then Everton will have to make sure they touch the figure of 43 points in-order to ensure mathematical safety.
