The home crowd was stunned inside 21 minutes as Kerala Blasters took a 2-0 lead in the space of 3 minutes (18'; 21'), but the visitors' celebrations were cut short as Odisha FC forced an own goal in the 29th minute before they scored an equaliser in the 36th minute to complete a terrific comeback, as an end-to-end first-half recoreded 4 goals.

The second-half was complete opposite to that of the first-half as the period recorded neither goals, nor cards, and at the full-time whistle, it ended 2-2, as spoils were shared by both sides.
