Argentina legend Lionel Messi has made a huge revelation about his retirement plans, as the Inter Miami superstar is seeking to retire when he feels like "It's Time". The reigning Ballon d'Or winner made the exclusive revelation in a podcast with Big Time, which was released on March 27, Wednesday.

“I know that the moment I feel that I am no longer performing, that I am no longer enjoying it or helping my teammates. I am very self-critical. I know when I am doing well, when I am not, when I play well and when I play poorly. When I feel it’s time to take that step, I will do it without thinking about age. If I feel good, I will try to continue competing because it’s what I like and what I know how to do,” said Lionel Messi.

Speaking ahead of his retirement plans, few questions were asked about the career of Lionel Messi in the post-retirement era, to which the La Pulga gave an interesting and wholesome answer.

“I haven’t thought about it yet. For now, I try to enjoy each day, each moment, without thinking about the future. I don’t have anything clear yet. I hope to keep playing for a while longer, because that’s what I enjoy. When the time comes, I will surely find the path to what fulfils me and what I like, and a new role,” added the Inter Miami forward.

The FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar winner has been facing some injury-prone months as the Argentinian has missed out on couple of matches for Inter Miami time to time, and recently opted out of the two international friendlies against El Salvador and Costa Rica, which the La Albiceleste won with ease.

The G.O.A.T. has previously, already revealed his dream final match of his career, which will be between Argentina and FC Barcelona, where Lionel Messi will play the first half for the former, and the second half for the latter.
