Leeds United Vs Hull City: Former Manchester United forward Daniel James, who is now playing for Championship outfit Leeds United, scored one of the goals of the season in Leeds United's win over Hull City. The fixture of Leeds United Vs Hull City in the Championship was a treat to watch as both the sides produced scintillating moments throughout the match at the Elland Road Stadium in Leeds on Tuesday, April 2.

Leeds United opened the scoring in the 9th minute via a neat finish from right-back Sam Byram, but Hull City pulled one back 25 minutes later via striker Fabio Carvalho to make it 1-1, as the sides shared spoils at the end of half time. The second half produced a complete different Leeds United as the home side went on rampage mode and continuously attacked and their deeds paid dividends as Leeds United were awarded a late penalty, which was converted by Crysencio Summerville in the 88th minute.

In search for an equaliser, Hull City pushed up and maintained a high line and in the injury/added time, everyone came up, including the goalkeeper, but the visitors failed to convert their chance and once Leeds United regained possession and launched a counter attack, Daniel James took a go from halfway line (almost 40 yards out) and scored a memorable goal to make it 3-1.

The Resurgence Of Daniel James In English Football

Daniel James made a name for himself back in 2019 during his time at Swansea City and was bought by Manchester United in the summer of 2019. The Welshman made an impressive start for The Red Devils as he scored a goal against Chelsea in his very first match. However, constant injuries and managerial changes deemed the player out of favour and was sold to Leeds United in 2021.

Daniel James merely managed 9 goals in 74 appearances for the Red Devils and further went on to endure a dismal run for Leeds United and Fulham. Things have now miraculously changed for the Welshman in the 2023/24, as the 26-year old is now one of the star players of the side, and has made 21 goal contributions in all competitions this season, with 13 goals and 8 assists, and the former Manchester United player is in the form of his life as 2023/24 season is the best statistical season Welshman has ever produced.
