England is flying high in the ongoing FIFA World Cup with a terrific 6-2 triumph against Iran but the team is staring down a barrel as their star striker Harry Kane has been sent for a scan on an ankle injury. However, according to reports, the scans showed captain Harry Kane did not suffer ankle damage. England Goalkeeper Jordon Pickford while giving an insight into Kane's injury, said that the captain is out on the grass on Wednesday.
It was only after five minutes into the second half of England's World Cup opening match, the captain picked up a problem with his ankle after a sturdy tackle from behind. He was seen limping off the pitch after playing for nearly 75 minutes calling in Callum Wilson. In a high-scoring opening match, Tottenham Hotspur striker, Kane, who scored 12 goals in 15 matches played for his Premier League side this season, walked out of the pitch after setting up two assists.

"I think Harry's fine. It look like a bad tackle but he carried on with his game. We took him off because we felt it was a moment in the game we could do that," England Manager Gareth Southgate said in his post-match press conference, as quoted by Mirror UK.
Kane, who is a top scorer with six goals in the previous edition of the World Cup, bagged a golden boot for his terrific feat in Russia. Kane is one of the crucial players for the team.
