New Delhi: Manchester United's star Cristiano Ronaldo's latest interview, exposing his own team and manager Erik ten Hag set the football world on fire. The Portugal international forward revealed how unhappy he was at the Premier League club, saying he has no respect for the manager. Ronaldo's 'provocative remarks' hints that he might have already played his final match for the Red Devils. Notably, the 37-year-old legend has made only four Premier League starts this season at Old Trafford.

Many fans and critics have slammed Ronaldo following the interview. Meanwhile, former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen has backed Cristiano, saying he sympathizes with him and faced a similar situation during his career.

"I've watched this CR story and having been in a similar position, I sympathise with him. People have NO IDEA what it's like to have constant lies and speculation written about them all the time. People having breaking points. Very easy to blame him but before you do, think...," he wrote on Twitter.

Here's What Cristiano Ronaldo said in his interview...

"I don't have respect for him (Ten Hag) because he doesn't show respect for me. If you don't have respect for me, I'm never gonna have respect for you," Ronaldo said in an interview with Piers Morgan as quoted by GOAL.com.

"I think the fans should know the truth. I want the best for the club. This is why I come to Manchester United. But you have some things inside that don't help (us) reach the top level as City, Liverpool and even now Arsenal . . . a club with this dimension should be top of the tree in my opinion and they are not unfortunately," he added.
