New Delhi: After a fake account of ANI flashed the news that cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and YouTuber Dhanashree Verma filed for divorce in Punjab Court, the Indian leg spinner took to the social media to ask his fans not to believe in such rumours about his married life.

Taking to his Instagram profile, he posted a story saying, “A humble request to you all to not believe, in any sort of rumours pertaining to our relationship. Kindly, put an end to it. Love and light to everyone.”

Also, clarifying the authenticity of the report, news agency ANI's original social media handle reported, "Please note: All three are fake accounts impersonating ANI. No such news has been flashed."

Notably, the couple had tied the knot in December 2020 in a grand wedding.

The speculations about the couple's divorce started when Dhanashree dropped her last name from her Instagram bio, followed by a cryptic post by Yuzvendra Chahal.

Speculations were rife after the YouTuber had dropped 'Chahal' from her Instagram name and soon after her action, on August 16, Yuzvendra took to Twitter and shared a cryptic post that read, "New Life Loading…."

Dhanashree Verma is a Youtuber and dance choreographer, and she has a wide following on social media, while Chahal is one of India's leading spin bowlers in limited overs cricket and a star performer in the IPL.

The couple had a lavish wedding in Gurugram in 2020.

Sharing the first pictures from the wedding, Yuzvendra had written, "We started at “Once upon a time” and found “Our happily ever after,” coz’ finally, #DhanaSaidYuz for infinity & beyond!"
