New Delhi: In a shocking incident, ESPN Colombia anchor had a part of the TV set collapse on him during a live show, it was caught on camera but was suddenly cut to a co-host who was clearly startled and called for a commercial. The injured anchor was lucky enough to make it out without any major injuries. 


Carlos Orduz was a part of panellists during a show on ESPN Colombia when a huge structure from the set fell on him shoving him forcefully face-first into the desk which caught everyone around him off guard. The camera was quickly zoomed in to another co-host who called for a commercial.

After a medical examination, Orduz said that he was doing find and they he has only got a bruise and a blow to the nose. 






"To those who wrote to me and greeted me about the accident last night, I must tell you that I am fine thank God after the medical check-up, the respective examinations, any issue was ruled out, only a bruise and a blow to the nose (no fracture) . Greetings and thanks," he wrote in Spanish on Twitter after the accident. 


ESPN broadcaster Rachel Nichols posted the video with the caption "So, so relieved our ESPN Colombia colleague Carlos Orduz says he’s “fine” after AFTER A WALL FELL ON HIM - although I may need a definition of the word ‘fine’ means in this case."



Several sports anchors and journalists wished Carlos Orduz well and were relieved that he was safe.
