New Delhi: The second Test match of the five-match Ashes series between England and Australia is set to be played at the Adelaide Oval from Thursday. When it comes to training, Joe Root and Co. are leaving no stone unturned for ENG vs AUS 2nd Ashes Test, especially after a humiliating nine-wicket defeat against the visitors in the series opener at Brisbane's Gabba.

England cricket team took part in a practice session in Adelaide on Tuesday. During this, captain Joe Root was seen facing team's star all-rounder Ben Stokes in the nets.

During this, a fiery short-pitched delivery from Stokes hit top of Root's helmet. However, the effect of the hit wasn't that serious as the England skipper seemed normal, ready to take on Stokes yet again.

Talking about the Ashes 2021-22, England are currently trailing Australia by 0-1 in the five-match series.

Both the teams will now take on each other in the second Ashes Test at Adelaide Oval from Thursday, which will be a Day/Night game.

Stokes had made a comeback to cricket after a long time in the Brisbane Test, but failed to create an impact at all and failed with both the ball and bat. Stokes got injured during the first Ashes Test, and was able to bowl only 12 overs.

Looking at this video, it looks like Stokes is fully fit to bowl in the second test.

England's veteran bowlers James Anderson and Stuart Broad were not included in the playing XI for the Brisbane Test. Both of them are expected to make a comeback in the upcoming Adelaide Test. With the return of these two senior bowlers, England's bowling attack will get the much needed boost.
