This was probably the phenomenal soccer star's lowest point of life. He was handed a jail sentence of 2 years and 10 months. The reason behind the same was the 'shooting' of journalists with an air rifle.


In 1994, he shot at the journalists outside his home at Buenos Aires, for 'invading his privacy'. The shameful act injured four people.

It was the day when Maradona was to name his 23-man squad for the 2010 World Cup. His stresses were made even worse when he ran over a cameraman as he was driving to his news conference. Witnesses close to the incident recalled how Maradona could be heard saying: "What an a**hole you are. How can you put your leg there where it can get run over, man?", according to BBC.


Misbehaving with a fan


Known for his temper tantrums, Maradona crossed a line when he kicked a fan.


While he was looking for the perfect shot, a fan was interrupting him by lifting a poster continuously. He kicked the fan's hand to stop him. This was not the kind of behaviour that one could expect from a legend like Maradona.
