New Delhi: The mess in Delhi cricket has ensured that DDCA would be heading towards getting another administrator just two years after a new committee was elected.

DDCA ombudsman Justice (retd) Deepak Verma wrote to the Delhi High court seeking immediate appointment of an administrator. The matter is listed today in the High Court.

"It is for everyone’s information that owing to the current mess and the situation created in DDCA including but not limited to financial irregularities and wilful contempt of Orders passed by Ombudsman and High Court, I have made a reference to the Hon’ble Delhi High Court to intervene in the affairs of DDCA. I have further requested the High Court that present Apex Council be superseded and an Administrator be appointed (whosoever the High Court deems fit)", wrote the ombudsman.

DDCA has been in turmoil since Rajat Sharma resigned after highlighting severe interference and financial bungling. The entire set of elected office bearers have ben suspended or resigned while the secretary Vinod Tihara is currently lodged in jail for tax evasion and fraud.

Previously DDCA was managed by administrator Justice Vikramjeet Singh and Justice Mukul Mudgal, bringing a sense of stability to DDCA.
