New Delhi: One of the most decorated footballers ever to walk on the face of earth and five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo successfully completed a stunning return to the Premier League club Manchester United on a two-year deal after telling Juventus that he wants to leave. The 36-year-old had agreed a transfer fee in the region of €15 million, plus €8 million in add-ons with Juventus.

Interestingly, as per a report in ESPN, Portuguese superstar Ronaldo who alone has 335,000,000 followers on Instagram now has more followers on the social media platform than all 20 Premier League clubs combined. Every Premier League club combined has a total of 184,00,000 followers on Instagram.

The last time United had won the UEFA Champions League was during the 2007/08 Champions League campaign - Ronaldo had then scored 8 goals in 12 games , more than any other player in the competition.

The Red Devils welcomed the legendary striker back to Old Trafford as a United player for the first time since he left for Real Madrid in the summer of 2009.

Paul Pogba was not included in any negotiation. Manchester City only had verbal talks and later on were ruled out of the 'Ronaldo race'. The upcoming Premier League season is probably going to be one of the most competitive season’s of all time. Ronaldo, for international break, has decided to stay in Portugal and afterwards will travel to Manchester.

Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Man United's rival club- Liverpool - says that signing Ronaldo is just a quick fix and it will no have an impact on the future.
