Wayne Rooney has responded to Cristiano Ronaldo's comment on his Instagram post where CR7 had written: "Two Jealous" referring to Rooney and Jamaie Carragher. Rooney said, "Not a football player on the planet, who isn't jealous of Cristiano."

What Is The Entire Story?

So it all began with a comment that Rooney made about Ronaldo joining Manchester United on a Sky Sports talk show alongside former Liverpool player, Jamie Carragher. When asked about whether Ronaldo joining Man United last summer was a good deal, Rooney had said 'Not at the minute'.

"I think he’s scored goals, he’s scored important goals in the Champions League early on in the season, he scored the hat-trick against Tottenham, but I think if you’re looking to the future of the club, you have to go with younger, hungry players to do the best and lift Manchester United over these next two or three years," said Rooney on Sky Sports.

The Manchester United legend further said: "Obviously, Cristiano is getting on a bit, he certainly isn’t the player he was when he was in his 20s, and that happens, that’s football."

How Did Ronaldo Respond?

Cristiano Ronaldo did not take these comments from Rooney very well. When Rooney posted a picture of himself with Carragher of the Sky Sports show, Ronaldo commented on it saying: "Two jealous", hinting it towards Carragher and Wazza.

Ronaldo and Rooney, at a time were the two pillars of a legendary Man United team that even won a Champions League title in 2008 under Alex Ferguson. This camaraderie between the two isn't new. It was seen even in the 2006 FIFA World Cup when both came face to face.
