Following team India’s exit form World Cup 2019; the number four spot conundrum got highlighted again. Even during the World Cup, team management failed to find a solution for the much-debated number four spot as there was no clear cut option with fiery trio of Dhawan, Rohit and Kohli getting reduced to two after Dhawan's thumb injury.

After India’s exit from the tournament, Shreyas Iyer managed to impress coach Ravi Shastri during India vs West Indies ODI series as he scored 71 and 65 in the two innings he played.

While it seems that Iyer has finally put an end to the debate over the No.4 spot, veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh differs as he shared a picture of Suryakumar Yadav with caption: “Don’t know why he doesn’t get picked for India after scoring runs heavily in domestic cricket @surya_14kumar keep working hard.. your time will come.”

Suryakumar Yadav has been a top-run getter for Mumbai in the domestic circuit.

Soon after Harbhajan's Tweet, his good friend Yuvraj Singh came up with a cheeky reply, saying that the Indian did not need a number 4 batsman since the top order was very strong.

Even earlier this month, Yuvraj had come up with same suggestion when Harbhajan suggested giving Sanju Samson a chance to bat at No. 4 in ODI.

“Why not @IamSanjuSamson at number 4 in odi.. with good technique and good head on his shoulders.. well played today anyways against SA A,” Harbhajan Singh had tweeted earlier this month.

Yuvraj replied, “Top order is very strong bro they don’t need no 4 batsman”.
