Yuvraj Singh, one of India's finest exponents with the willow, bid farewell to all forms of cricket by announcing his retirement from the sport recently.

In a media interaction session held in Mumbai, India's 2011 World Cup hero announced his retirement from international cricket as well as the Indian Premier League.

However, it was not a hunky dory farewell speech by the champion cricketer as he made some startling revelations about the controversial yo-yo test, pointing indirectly at a possible factor behind his exodus from the team.

After Yuvraj threw a teaser of sorts into everything not clicking well between him and the Indian team's higher echelons, his father Yograj Singh is all set to reveal some telling insights about his son’s sea-saw career and reasons unknown in public domain about his retirement.

Speaking in an exclusive  interview with Daily Post Punjabi, Yograj, who is a former Indian fast bowler, has claimed that his son has been a victim of some “dirty politics” in Indian cricket. Yograj Singh opened up his heart by indicating that there has been a conspiracy hatched behind his son’s retirement.

When questioned about how he felt about his son retiring and not playing for India at the ongoing World Cup, the former cricketer responded that the same politics were the reason behind it.

While Yograj didn’t mention the name of the “individual”, he sounded quite certain on making “secrets” public after the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 gets over.

“I don’t want to take his name but he has been playing this dirty politics from the last 15 years. He has made lives difficult for Indian cricketers. I will make this revelation after the World Cup gets over. He will remember this for life that someone said something about him.

Yograj Singh did not hold backm adding that many legendary Indian cricketers didn’t get a chance to retire while they were playing. He cited the examples of Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman amongst many others who didn’t retire while they continued to play for India. The 61-year-old went on to add that only one individual in the team was responsible for all this.

“It happened with Gautam Gambhir. It happened with Virender Sehwag. They were great players. Now it has happened with Yuvraj Singh. It had happened with VVS Laxman as well. I know the reason why all this has happened. Only one individual is responsible for all this,” Yograj was quoted as saying.

“I am not the one who will sit down without saying anything. I always speak the truth. And when I speak the truth, no one speaks in front of me. I don’t want to speak about him at this point in time because I don’t want the team to get affected during the World Cup,” Yograj added.
