Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) captain and Indian wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik is celebrating his 36th birthday on 1 June 2021. The cricketer is receiving birthday wishes from all spheres of cricket.

One particular wish from Yuvraj Singh has taken everyone's attention. The former Indian cricketer took a funny jibe at Karthik while wishing him on his 36th birthday. He wrote: “Happy birthday @DineshKarthik god bless buddy! Be less hyper this year."

Karthik also took the joke lightly and said "Haha thanks Yuvi pa!"

Dinesh Karthik is one player who has scored the second-highest runs as a wicket-keeper in the IPL. At the same time, before entering into Indian cricket, Karthik played the first match for Baroda in the year 2002. He got his chance to play for the Indian team for the first time in the year 2004 due to his batting and impressive wicketkeeping technique. Although Karthik was dropped from the team after an unimpressive start in ODIs and Test matches, Karthik continued to get more opportunities in the Indian team, but he failed to cement his place in the team.

Karthik was also wished by other cricketers around the world. Even ICC wished Karthik and mentioned his Nidhahas Trophy innings against Bangladesh. ICC tweeted: "Happy birthday to Dinesh Karthik! He powered India to an unforgettable last-ball victory in the 2018 Nidahas Trophy final, against Bangladesh, with a sensational eight-ball 29"

Wasim Jaffer also wished the wicket-keeper batsman. "Happy birthday partner @DineshKarthik Have a wonderful day ahead," he wrote.

Other cricketers like Shreyas Iyer, Shikhar Dhawan also wished Karthik on his birthday.
