Iconic former India captain M.S. Dhoni celebrated his 38th birthday with daughter Ziva, wife Sakshi and members of the Indian cricket team after their seven-wicket win over Sri Lanka in the last World Cup group game at Headingley.

Dhoni was seen dancing with Ziva in a slo-mo video made by his wife Sakshi of the cake-cutting ceremony which also showed all-rounder Hardik Pandya and Kedar Jadhav. A side bump on boomerang with Rishabh Pant have already crossed lakhs of views on Instagram.

On Sunday, Virat Kohli took to Instagram and paid a touching tribute to MS Dhoni.

"Happy birthday mahi bhai @mahi7781 . Very few people understand the meaning of trust and respect and I'm glad to have had the friendship I have with you for so many years. You've been a big brother to all of us and as I said before, you will always be my captain," wrote Virat Kohli on his Instagram post.

Cricketers past and present, apart from the legions of his fans from all walks of life, wished Mahendra Singh Dhoni on his 38th birthday, drowning the recent wave of criticism around the veteran's approach to batting.

Dhoni, who turned a year older Sunday, shook a leg with daughter Ziva in the presence of wife Sakshi as his teammates, in his preferred minimalist manner, celebrated the reverential figure's birthday.
