Yashasvi Jaiswal, India's star opener, has been awarded the prestigious title of ICC Player of the Month for February. The 22-year-old outshone esteemed players like Kane Williamson of New Zealand and Sri Lanka's Pathum Nissanka.


Jaiswal's exceptional performance included scoring two consecutive double centuries in the Test series against England, making him the highest run-scorer in IND vs ENG Test series. He becomes the seventh Indian men's cricketer to clinch the ICC Player of the Month title.

Yashasvi Jaiswal notched up two double centuries during India vs England five-match Test series, which India won 4-1. Jaiswal scored 209 runs in the first innings of the Visakhapatnam Test, followed by 214 runs in the second innings of the Rajkot Test. Additionally, he contributed a half-century in the first innings of the Ranchi Test.






Emerging as the highest run-scorer in IND vs ENG Test series, Jaiswal amassed a total of 712 runs across nine innings.


Yashasvi achieved a remarkable feat during the Test match against England in Rajkot by equaling the Test record for most sixes in an innings with 12 sixes.


Remarkably, at the age of 22 years and 49 days, he scored two consecutive double centuries, becoming the third youngest batsman globally, after Don Bradman and Vinod Kambli, to achieve this milestone in Test cricket.


Yashasvi made his Test debut in 2023 against the West Indies cricket team. Across 9 Test matches, he has showcased his talent with the bat, accumulating 1,028 runs from 16 innings, with an impressive average of 68.53.
