IND vs AUS WTC Final 2023: Rohit Sharma-led team India made a great comeback into the India vs Australia World Test Championship (WTC) 2023 Final on Day 2 after a remarkable morning session which saw Indian bowlers taking quick four wickets, including most-priced scalps of centurions Steve Smith and Travis Head. First session of IND vs AUS WTC Final 2023 Day 2 started with Mohammed Siraj, Shami and Shardul Thakur bagging one wicket each, putting India in the drivers' seat for some time. Mohammed Shami had to go out of the field for some time which saw the veteran bowler being replaced by substitute fielder Axar Patel.

Though Axar hasn't been included in India's playing XI for WTC Final vs Australia, the star spin-all rounder still managed to make a huge impact in the match. A fiery direct throw from Axar helped India get Mitchell Starc run-out for seventh wicket. The throw from Axar left netizens in awe, also helping India gain the much-needed momentum. Soon after the run-out, Shami returned and Axar went off the field. Later, some visuals on the big screen showed Axar sitting on the bench.
