Day 2 of IND vs AUS WTC Final began with the invincible-looking batting pair of Steven Smith and Travis Head taking on the crease after remaining unbeaten on Day 1. For India, Mohammad Siraj opened the bowling on Day 2. Head, who faced the first ball of the day, took a quick single to get off the mark. Steven Smith was slated to face the second ball.

Surprisingly, Smith moved away from his batting stance out of nowhere when Siraj was about to pitch the ball. The bowler looked quite frustrated as Smith had moved away quite late and threw the ball in anger towards the strikers' end, trying to hit the stumps. Smith visibly looked a bit disappointed as he felt that Siraj overreacted, and he even tried to explain that he was getting disturbed due to the spider cam, due to which he had to pull out last minute.

A lacklustre Indian bowling line-up struggled against Travis Head and Steve Smith, who notched up a solid 251-run unbeaten fourth wicket partnership to help Australia put 327/3 on the board at stumps on Day 1 of India vs Australia World Test Championship final at The Oval, on Wednesday.
India were off to a great start after inviting Australia to bat first. Initially, the Indian bowlers reduced Australia to 76/3. But Head, later joined by Steven Smith, produced a great counter-attack.
Head scored his first overseas century, an unbeaten 146 off 156 balls, laced with 22 fours and a six, while premier batter Smith remained 95 not out off 227 balls at stumps on Day 1.
