Women's Premier League 2024: The WPL 2024 has been a wonderful tournament so far with lots and lots of amazing moments, but one such unique moment came on Monday, March 4, when RCB Women's star all-rounder Elysse Perry smashed a six during the first innings of the match between RCB Women and UP Warriorz Women. The six was no ordinary six, as it ended up breaking the window of the special car, which is meant to be awarded to the player of the series on the completion of the current edition of WPL.

"I was bit a worried. I don't have any insurance here (laughs)," said Australian star all-rounder and legendary cricketer, Elysse Perry, in the post match press conference, in concern with the viral six, which isnow making waves all over the social media, as the clip has gone viral now.

RCB Women's Captain Smriti Mandhana Comments On The Win And Bond With Elysse Perry

"I think, after that, the last two matches, we were under the pump. Losing the toss didn't help either. We had to go after the bowling. I think Meghana's knock was important. Later on, Pez (Perry) and Richa went after the bowling. Everything was going well for us. Then the bowlers came out and did their job. I thought of making your (Anjum Chopra's) job easier (chuckles)," said Smriti Mandhana, captain of RCB Women.

Smriti also commented on the lifeline she got earlier in the match, which proved to be the knockout blow to the UP side, and the vital partnership with Elysse Perry.

"Definitely got a little lucky on 26 but I'll take that because we really wanted this win. The practice was really good, and playing domestic helped as well. It was good preparation, once you get the feel you just need to pick which area to target. I and Perry were saying to each other that we've played together for ten matches but this was our first 50-run stand. We are both experienced enough to recognize which bowler to target. There wasn't much chat; it was just about executing," said the opener.

"Perry made me run a lot of twos, which was great. The only chat was using the short side, and we thought of seeing Ecclestone off. That chat was really important. A lot of times, she said you will go, you wait and sometimes, she said, you go and I will wait. We never thought we were out of the game. Chasing 198, we knew they were going to go hard. We had to keep doing things right, target the stumps and at different times, different bowlers took up the pressure and got us the breakthroughs," she added.
