A few of her old tweets did rounds on social media where she declared that she would be a presenter at the Cricket World Cup 2023 that India is hosting. On October 2, she shared a post on her social media handles where she expressed her excitement about being a presenter at the ICC World Cup. However one of the users objected posted screenshots of her old anti-Hindu and anti-India posts.
Zainab in one of these posts also ranted by saying, “This 120 crore population can’t produce one fast bowler. Eat some f*c*ing meat u shud shakaharis.”
On October 6, Vineet Jindal who is a lawyer of the Supreme Court also filed an official complaint against Zainab because of her old posts. Jindal said that Zainab gave anti-India and Hinduphobic statements. He also took to his social media handle and mentioned about the complaint filed with the Cyber Cell of Delhi Police.
He went on to put out a request that an FIR should be filed against Zainab Abbas under sections 153A, 295, 506, 121 IPC, and sec 67 IT Act for her denigrating remarks about Hinduism and anti-India statements. Jindal also demanded that Pakistan’s presenter should be removed from the list of presenters for the ongoing ICC Men’s World Cup.
On the other hand, fans of Pakistan are not happy after they heard that Zainab has left India. They also blamed India for being intolerant.
One of the users said, “After looking at Zainab Abbas’ case, I’ve actually developed sympathy for Irfan Pathan…He does all this for him and his family’s safety…India is so intolerant, insecure and is highly influenced by hindutva terr*rist outfit i.e RSS.”
