Indian pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah who has been in red hot form with the ball achieved a unique feat in the ongoing Cricket World Cup.

Bumrah who bowled the second over for India against New Zealand in the semifinals of the ICC World Cup at Manchester, delivered a maiden and thereby attained the record of bowling the most maiden overs in the ongoing ICC World Cup.

Bumrah bowled his 9th maiden in the Cricket World Cup 2019  and went past the record held by England's speedster Jofra Archer who had bowled eight maidens in the tournament so far.

Australia's Pat Cummins and England's Chris Woakes have bowled 6 maiden overs each. Meanwhile Pakistani pace ace Mohammad Amir, South Africa's Chris Morris and Mitchell Starc have bowled 5 maiden overs.

Bumrah has been the leading wicket taker for India at the World Cup with 18 wickets in just eight games.
