India booked their berth in the semi-finals of the ongoing Women’s World T20 on Thursday after beating Ireland by 52 runs. After posting a decent total of 145 for 6, India's spinners maintained a tight leash on Irish women restricting them to 93 for 8 in 20 overs.
After the victory, skipper Harmanpreet Kaur took to his official social media handle to thanks the Indian fans for their endless support. At the same time, she also promised to make her countrymen proud with her and the team’s performance.

Though India managed to outclass the Irish eves, their below-par batting remained the main concern in the match. Except for Mithali (51) and Mandhana (33), the other batters somehow combined total of just 50 runs with 11 runs coming from extras.
Indian spinners led Radha Yadav ran through Ireland. Radha picked up three wickets for 25 runs and Deepti Sharma sneered two wickets for only 15 runs while captain Harmanpreet Kaur bowled her quota of 4 overs for only 10 runs. In the 16 overs of spin, India gave away only 81 runs and picked up 8 wickets.
