The schedule for the first season of the Women's Premier League was announced after the auction had been held successfully. The tournament will begin with a face off between Mumbai and Gujarat on March 4. It will conclude with the final on March 26.

Mumbai start bidding for Nat Sciver at 50 lakh. Delhi and Mumbai fighting it out for the England star. Quickly the bidding has reached over 2 crores. UP Warriorz have jumped into the bidding tussle. Deepti Sharma- bidding begins at 50 lakhs for her. Delhi begin the bidding, Mumbai and Gujarat enter the bidding war. Price over 1 crore already. Star India all-rounder Deepti was predicted to be one of the costliest players. She has surpassed Harmenpreet's figure of 1.80 Crore already. Mumbai have bid a whopping 2 crore for her. But no UP Warriorz have shown interest. Warriorz buy Deepti Sharma for 2.60 Crore.

"Everyone knows Mandhana and Perry, we were pretty committed to the couple of people we wanted to get. we're very happy to get such quality players. it's a dream result for us to get Mandhana, Perry and Devine. Smriti has got plenty of captaincy experience and is familiar with the Indian conditions so highly likely [she'll be captain]," Hesson told the media after the end of the first set of players to be auctioned.

Everybody globally also feels this would be the most expensive league in the women's cricket.
