Scotland lost to New Zealand by just 16 runs after showing some class with the bat. The spirits of the Scottish players were high throughout the game. The Scotland players were well aware of the ramifications of their match on India's position in the T20 World Cup.

In a funny incident, Scotland's wicketkeeper Matt Cross was seen encouraging his fellow bowler, Chris Greaves. Cross' chants were funny more than encouraging. He was heard on stump mic saying: "C'mon Chris Greaves, Whole of India is behind you here!"

Glenn Phillips was batting at the striker's end when this incident took place. Matt Cross must have been aware of the permutations & combinations that allow India to be in a better position to qualify if Scotland wins their match against New Zealand.

Netizens enjoyed this moment as it had a pinch of honesty to it as well. Take a look at the video first:

With Pakistan already qualifying for the semis, there is just room for one more team to qualify. New Zealand, Afghanistan, and India are all in the fray for qualification.

New Zealand's loss would mean that India gets in a better position to qualify. Thus, Scotland wicket-keeper's chants are not far from reality.

Scotland lost the match and the scenario remains the same for India. They will have to register wins in all their remaining matches and hope that Afghanistan defeats New Zealand.
