Team India scripted history on June 29 by clinching the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy, ending an 11-year ICC trophy drought under Rohit Sharma's captaincy.


Celebrating the triumph, Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah and skipper Rohit Sharma visited the iconic Siddhivinayak Temple with ICC Men's T20 World Cup trophy, where they performed special prayers. Photos of their visit have gone viral on social media.

Grand welcome for Team India in Mumbai!


Team India received a grand welcome in Mumbai after winning the T20 World Cup for the second time. The Men in Blue, which first clinched the T20 World Cup in 2007, was celebrated with a large crowd on Marine Drive.


This victory marked the end of a long wait for an ICC title, following their Champions Trophy win in 2013 and the ODI World Cup triumph in 2011.


India beat Proteas in nail-biting thriller to lift the coveted T20 World Cup 2024 final trophy 


India defeated South Africa by 7 runs to win the T20 World Cup 2024 Final in West Indies. After winning the toss and opting to bat first, India scored 176 runs for loss of 7 wickets in their alloted 20 overs. Virat Kohli was the top scorer with 76 runs, supported by Axar Patel, who contributed 47 runs.


In response, South Africa managed 169 runs for 8 wickets. Heinrich Klaasen was their highest scorer with 52 runs. For India, Hardik Pandya took 3 wickets, while Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah each claimed 2 wickets, and Axar Patel bagged 1 wicket.
