The Indian team had a great day at the office as they registered a solid win over West Indies by nine wickets on Saturday. After opting to bat first, West Indies ended up posting a fighting total of 178/8 in 20 overs. For India, Arshdeep Singh scalped a three-wicket haul. In reply, Team India chased down the total easily with Yashasvi Jaiswal playing a brilliant knock of 84 runs alongside Shubman Gill who made 77 runs.

Moments after the game ended, former India player Wasim Jaffer went to his X handle and posted a funny clip to explain the well-coordinated stand between Jaiswal and Gill. Both Gill and Jaiswal formed a  165-run stand for the first wicket and to describe their partnership, Jaffer came up with a video of two men, showing a sleek act of juggling.

The partnership between the duo is the third-highest stand for the Indian team in the shortest format of the game. The first one came between Deepak Hooda and Sanju Samson against Ireland back in 2022, the second one transpired between KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma after they built 165 run stand against Sri Lanka in 2017.

Gill who was finding it tough to get runs in the first three T20Is, said that it was crucial for him to go back to the basics in the match.

"In the first three matches, I could not even score 10, today (the) wicket was a bit better, so wanted to capitalise. Then when I got a good start, we just wanted to finish it," Gill said in a chat with Arshdeep.

The ongoing series now stands at 2-2 and the fifth and final game will be held on Sunday which eventually decide the winner.
