Even though senior India batter Virat Kohli was not part of the India Playing XI that took on West Indies in the second of the three-match series at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown in Barbados, he still managed to make headlines. Given that he is such a champion cricketer with loads of international runs and 76 hunreds to his credit in the sport's elite level, almost anything he does tends to grab headlines. While he was seen serving drinks to his teammates after the team management's decision to give the youngsters a chance in this fixture, on the sidelines of this match, Kohli was even seen sharing a heartwarming moment with a fan.

Talking about the match, other than Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma was sat out for this game, giving Hardik Pandya an opportunity to captain the team. Several players got a chance but the side failed to leave a mark as India lost an ODI to West Indies for the first time since December 2019.

After being asked to bat first, the Indian batters put on a disappointing show managing 181 runs with Ishan Kishan scoring his second successive half-century but once again failing to convert it into a hundred. Shubman Gill made 34 while Suryakumar Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja and Shardul Thakur chipped in with scorrs of 24, 10 and 16 respectively. But none of the other batters- the likes of Sanju Samson, Hardik Pandya, Axar Patel failed to register a score in double figures.
