It is no secret that star India batter Virat Kohli was born and raised in Delhi. The former India captain may have shifted to Mumbai now but he still loves the city which he represented in domestic cricket. Set to play his first match in the national capital in nearly 4 years, the right-handed batter took time out to drive to the Arun Jaitley Stadium for a practice session ahead of Team India's second Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy set to commence on February 17.
While Kohli had himself shared an Instagram story in which he called the experience a 'nostalgic feeling,' now a video of the batter leaving from his practice session and making a stylish exit in a luxurious car has surfaced on social media. Fans were clearly excited to catch a glimpse of the local boy who has been a force to reckon with in world cricket.

It is pertinent to note that Kohli's last ODI in Delhi was in March 2019. His last Test match in the city was even before that in December 2017. While the 34-year-old has shown glimpses of his prime form in limited-overs cricket after a period in international cricket where runs seemed to have deserted him, he is yet to replicate that in the game's purest format. Kohli's last Test match century came in 2019.
With a place in the World Test Championship (WTC) final riding on the ongoing four-Test match series against the Kangaroos, Kohli's form will be critical to India's chances. India are leading 1-0 at the moment but Kohli only managed 12 runs as India batted just once in the match. Kohli too would be eager to make a significant contribution in this series and steer the team to the finals for the second successive time in WTC.
