In what comes as a big positive news for the Indian cricket team, star batters Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul, who are important for India's ODI World Cup 2023 plans, were recently spotted batting in the nets at Bengaluru's National Cricket Academy. The right-handed batters have remained out of any cricketing action for quite some time now and are set to miss the upcoming India vs Ireland three-match T20I series, where another injured stars Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna will be making their much-awaited comeback, after almost a year's gap.
Both Iyer and Rahul underwent surgeries after suffering injuries while playing. It was being speculated that the duo might miss playing the ODI World Cup 2023 but their latest batting video has raised hopes of their availability for the marquee ODI tournament, set to be played in October-November.
