Chennai: Suryakumar Yadav was at his brilliant best in India's must-win third T20I against West Indies. While it was the Indian batting which had let them down in the first two matches, this time around it was Suryakumar's brilliance which made it a fairly one-sided contest. While West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first in this fixture at the Providence Stadium in Guyana, they reached 159/5 riding on Rovman Powell's quickfire 40* off 19 balls.

In response, India lose debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal early in the first over itself. However, Suryakumar, coming it at number 3 made his intentions pretty clear hitting his first two balls for a four and a six. In no time, he was back at his vintage best, doing the bulk of the scoring behind the stumps. Eventually, the Mumbai Indians star got out for 83 off 44 deliveries but by that time the equation had come down to less than run a ball after which Hardik Pandya (20*) and Tilak Varma (49*) saw the team over the line.

A recent video has now surfaced online in which the batting star can be seen giving his jersey to a special fan.

The third T20I was India's final fixture of their West Indies tour. The Men in Blue will now travel to Florida for the final two matches which will conclude the series. Following the West Indies series, India will travel to Ireland for a three-match T20I series after which there will be Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup at home. Meanwhile, a second-string Indian side led by Ruturaj Gaikwad is also set to go to China for the Asian Games.
