Indian opener Rohit Sharma has returned home after a long tour of Australia and New Zealand and finally, found some time to spend with her new-born daughter Samaira. Rohit became a father on December 31 [during the Australia tests]. He flew down to Mumbai for a short while and joined back the team for the limited-overs series on January 8.


After more than a month, the Indian vice-captain is back home and busy with his little bundle of joy. A video of Rohit playing with baby Samaira is getting a lot of love on social media.

Rohit’s wife Ritika also took to her Instagram account to share a video of their daughter smiling. Rohit’s fans on the social platform are going gaga over the video as a few claimed that her smiling face looks similar to her father.

Rohit recently became the highest run-getter in T20 International cricket. With 2326 runs under his belt, the HITMAN of team India has surpassed New Zealand batsman Martin Guptill (2272 runs).


However, the men-in-blue lost the three-match T20I series in New Zealand 1-2, the stand-in skipper picked up some “positives and mistakes” from the tough tour to move ahead.


Coming up next, India is slated to Australia for five ODIs and two T20Is, starting February 24.
