Star India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is making the most of his time away from the cricket field. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star was part of the Test matches in West Indies but is not included in the squad for the five-match T20Is. He is enjoying his break from cricket with a vacation in the United States. The 34-year-old features in a recent video in which he can be seen dancing. The video has been shared by his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise with the caption: "When life gives you Mondays, vibe like JADDU! #WhistlePodu #Yellove”.
Here is the video:
Jadeja played a pivotal role in CSK's IPL winning campaign this season. He featured in all 16 games scoring 190 runs at an average of 23.75. He batted at a strike rate of 142.86 and smashed 11 fours and 9 sixes in this year's tournament. In addition, he was also effective with the ball in hand, picking 20 wickets from 16 outings at an average of 21.55 and an economy of 7.56.
His most significant contribution came in the final against Gujarat Titans (GT) when the onus was on him to finish off the game when CSK needed 10 to win off the final 2 balls. The southpaw smashed a six and a four and helped CSK bag their record-equalling fifth IPL title. Following Jadeja's heroics with the bat, CSK skipper MS Dhoni was seen lifting him on his back. Dhoni failed to leave an impact with the bat in the final but was at his shrewd best as a captain in the tournament and was among the best keepers on display in the tournament at 41.
There were speculation over strianed relationship between MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja but following his match-winning performance in the IPL 2023 final, Jadeja dedicated the team's success to Dhoni, ending all such rumours.
