New Delhi: At a time when the doors of Indian team are fast closing on them, the Pathan brothers – Yusuf and Irfan have found happiness in each other’s success.

During a Ranji Trophy Group C match between Baroda and Madhya Pradesh, brothers Irfan and Yusuf not only impressed with the bat but they also showcased the bond they have between them.

Yusuf got to his hundred with a lofted shot over extra cover. Brother Irfan, standing at the non striker’s end dropped his bat and ran towards him flinging both arms in the air. It took a moment for everyone to realize who had actually reached his century – Irfan or Yusuf, such was the celebration by the junior Pathan, who scored a well compiled 80 in the first innings.

Irfan himself shared the video on his twitter account later that day.

In reply to MP’s mammoth 551 for 8, Baroda were in trouble at 4 for 54 when the Pathan brothers got together to put on a 188-run stand to take Baroda to a respectable total.

Yusuf ended up scoring 111 in the first innings to take Baroda to 302, which was not enough to save the follow the on.

Following on, Yusuf displayed an even better show with the bat, amassing 136 runs to make MP bat again on the last day of the match.

However, his effort was not enough to stop MP from knocking down the 73-run target with relatable ease to bag six points in their opening match of the Ranji Trophy.
