Virat Kohli-led mighty India inflicted a humiliating 89-run (DLS) defeat on their arch-rivals Pakistan in the much-hyped World Cup match, which eventually turned to be a one-sided affair.


A humiliating loss against India and that too for the seventh time in World Cup was bound to generate anger and strong reactions from the loosing side's fans.

Pakistan right-handed veteran Shoaib Malik, who has already announced his retirement from international cricket after the World Cup, was heavily criticized after he got dismissed for a first-ball duck against India.

A video of Shoaib Malik and his Indian tennis star wife Sania Mirza with other players became a big discussion point, with many people on social media claiming that the Pakistan player stayed out of the team hotel beyond the curfew time, the night before the World Cup game against India.


In another video, some Pakistani fans can be seen claiming that the star couple were at the mall where this restaurant is, till 2 AM in the morning, just day before the India-Pakistan match.


But spokesman for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has made it clear that the three players did not violate the curfew set by the team management. The spokesperson also said that the players went out with their families after taking due permission from the team manager.

"The video under discussion was of two days back. On the night before the match, all the players were in their rooms before curfew time," he clarified.
