Cricket is no less than a religion in India. The sport not only acts as a major unifying factor in the country but when it comes to cricketing rivalry, it can even stack a cricketing country against an opponent. Even those who don't usually follow the sport, for instance, might be more than willing to soak in a day's of cricketing action if India are taking on Pakistan. The India vs Pakistan rivalry is widely regarded as one of the greatest rivalries in the sport and in a bid to capture what it means for the cricket-crazy people on both sides of the border, Netflix has now announced a documentary titled: "The Greatest Rivalry".

A short clip which acts as a teaser to what all the documentary could be all about has been shared by the streaming platform on its official Instagram handle.

"Lights, Camera, and CLEAN BOWLED!! Witness a bond forged in history- and victory!! 🏏🔥 Greatest Rivalry is coming soon, only on Netflix," the post was captioned.

IND vs PAK Cricketing Rivalry Restricted To ICC Events

The India vs Pakistan cricketing rivalry is restricted to ICC events as India have refused to play bilateral cricket with their arch-rivals in bilateral cricket competitions due to tensed political relationship between the two countries. The teams, consquently, meet only in Asia Cup, a continental tournament organised by the Asian Cricket Council, the T20 World Cup, the ODI World Cup and the ICC Champions Trophy.

There is a possibility of India and Pakistan meeting in Test matches if they both make it to the finals of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC). However, chances of that seem bleak at least in the 2023-25 cycle of WTC with Pakistan currently sitting at the fifth place.
