New Delhi: The equation was very simple, Mitchell Johnson had the ball in hand, Steve Smith was at the crease with Manoj Tiwary and needed 11 runs from 6 balls.

Manoj Tiwary was did not wait and chipped through the square leg for a boundary, putting the pressure back on the Aussie but Mitchell got all his experience into action and that saw Tiwary depart on the very next ball as he smashed near the long-on boundary only to find Kieron Pollard waiting.

Steve Smith was back on strike and he looked confident of finishing the game. The Australia skipper smashed the ball near the cover boundary which looked like a certain six but failed to cross the ropes and landed in Rayudu hands and Pune had their biggest blow.

Dan Christian replaced Steve Smith at the crease and had the responsibility to fire 6 runs of just 2 balls but Christain could only manage two off each ball and falling one run short of tie.

Mitchell Johnson snatched victory from the jaws of defeat with scintillating final over to hand Mumbai their title No.3
