Indian cricket team star batsman KL Rahul on Sunday took to social media to share a video of his batting practice in the nets as he prepares for the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. Rahul replaced Ashwin as Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) skipper in late November last year after the veteran spinner decided to leave the franchise and was traded to Delhi Capitals.
The dashing batsman can be seen playing some great defensive shots as he captioned the video: "Music to my ears".
India's seasoned ODI cricketer KL Rahul will lead his franchise Kings XI Punjab in this year's Indian Premier League, which was initially supposed to commence on March 29, but got postponed indefinitely by the BCCI in the wake of coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
The cash-rich T20 League finally got governments nod to take place outside India in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 19 to November 10.
"I actually have missed the IPL a lot. It was going to be a big season for me captaining the team and I felt like we have got some really really exciting players in the line-up," Rahul told teammate Mayank Agarwal during the show 'Open Nets with Mayank' which was uploaded on IPL's official website.
"I was really looking forward to playing with Chris and you and Maxi and few other guys coming in."
