Hyderabad: On the first day of one-off Test against India in Hyderabad, Bangladesh skipper Mushfiqur Rahim opted for a bizarre review after Virat Kohli defended Taijul Islam’s delivery right from the middle of the bat but the wicket-keeper captain thought it hit the pads before the bat and went for a review after consultation with the short-leg fielder.
Rahim’s decision to opt for a review took everyone by surprise including India skipper Virat Kohli, who couldn’t hide his laughter as he knew Bangladesh had lost one review.
On day 2 at Hyderabad, Bangladesh skipper had another bad day at work as he ridiculously missed a golden chance to dismiss Wriddhiman Saha.
Saha, who came to bat No.4 decided to stride down the track in an attempt to clear Taijul Islam’s delivery but failed to connect with the bat, giving Rahim an opportunity to dismiss the 32-year-old.
However, Rahim failed to take off the bails and His error proved to be costly for the visiting team as Saha went on to score 106 and helped India post 687/6.
