Mahendra Singh Dhoni was highly criticised for his batting in the 2nd and 3rd ODI against England. Despite completing 10,000 ODI runs, the former Indian skipper had to receive the backlash from the cricket fans. However, Dhoni managed to pull off an amazing run out during the English innings on Tuesday in Leeds.
The incident happened during the 10th over when Joe Root pushed Yuzvendra Chahal’s first delivery towards the leg-side and called for a single. While James Vince rushed towards the striker’s end, Hardik Pandya grabbed the ball and threw to MS Dhoni.
On the other hand, Dhoni made no mistake in collecting the throw and dislodged the bails while falling on his right side. Vince failed to cross the crease and the veteran Indian wicketkeeper succeeded to run him out.

Vince had to return to the dressing room as Dhoni showcased his athleticism on the field yet again.
Earlier in the game, India were put to bat first as they lost the toss. The openers failed to give a strong start and threw their wickets under pressure. Captain Kohli knocked his 48th ODI half-century and was later baffled by an Adil Rashid leg spin.
The middle-order once again failed to contribute while Shardul Thakur's valiant 21 off 13 balls at the end took India past the 250 mark.
In return, English skipper Eoin Morgan and batsman Joe Root pulled off a historic 8-wicket victory together, to clinch the series 2-1.
