New Delhi: India chased a mammoth total of 350 runs in the first ODI against England in pune on Sunday. India skipper Virat Kohli and Kedar Jadhav stitched 200-run stand for the 5th wicket, guiding India to 1-0 series lead in three match series.

Mahendra Singh Dhoni who recently stepped down as captain of limited over format took the field when India had lost three wickets in quick succession but the hard hitting wicket-keeper could only manage 6 runs off 6 deliveries and lost his wicket to Jake Ball.

Dhoni after relinquishing responbilities as captain is tipped to enjoy his game in the top order.

The Ranchi man took the nets after a disappointing performance in Pune. The 35-year-old played some fine shots in the practice session and his confidence was something to look out for.
