Where India has cruised to the finals like a boss, newbie Afghanistan went through a terrific fall after ruling the league phases. After losing to Pakistan marginally, the Afghans lost another nail-biting affair to Bangladesh which led them out from the tournament.
In reply to Bangladesh’s respectable 249, Afghanistan tumbled initially. However, Hashmatullah Shahidi pulled things back on track with a knock of 71. Moreover, he received a thorough support from opener Mohammad Shahzad who brought up a slow but steady fifty.
But the things eventually turned in the favour of the Tigers as they clinched the game by 3 overs in an exciting final over. After this amazing victory, wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim performed the victory dance on the field which took the social media in a storm.

While Afghanistan are gearing up for their last game in the tournament against India, the Tigers will try out their luck against Pakistan on Wednesday which will be battle for the second ticket to the finale. Whichever team wins the game will face India on Friday in Dubai.
