On Saturday, fans witnessed a vintage Mohammad Kaif as he pulled off two brilliant catches in the ongoing Legends League Eliminator match between Asia Lions and India Maharajas. To take the first catch, Kaif dived in the air and ended up taking a one-handed stunner and dismissed Upul Tharanga in the 8th over of innings bowled by Pragyan Ojha. Kaif grabbed the second catch while diving forward towards the long-off region and sent Mohammad Hafeez back to the pavilion in the 16th over of Pravin Tambe of Asia Lions' innings.
Talking about the match, Tharanga starred with the bat with 50 runs alongside Hafeez and Asghar Afghan who made 38 and 34 respectively, and helped Lions put up a huge total of 191 runs. Binny and Pragyan Ojha scalped two wickets each for India Maharajas.
In reply, Maharajas’ skipper Gautam Gambhir scored 32 and Uthappa got 15 before getting out. They failed to read Sohail Tanvir, Abdur Razzak, and Hafeez, getting all out for just 106 runs in 16.4 overs. Kaif came at No. 3 and scored 14 off 11 balls with two fours. The Lions will be locking horns against the World Giants in the final of the tournament on Monday.
Earlier, a video made rounds on social media in which former India teammates and current India Maharajas' stars Suresh Raina and Harbhajan Singh decided to shake a leg on Oscar-award winning song 'Naatu Naatu.' Fans also viewed former West Indies legend Chris Gayle's dance on the blockbuster Gangnam Style. Ever since this song became a blockbuster in 2012, many West Indies cricketers have been spotted doing a step in the past also.
