India former captain MS Dhoni’s retirement rumours have been doing rounds in media ever since the conclusion of World Cup 2019. Fans had to wait more to ‘Mahi’ don the Indian jersey again as the veteran decided to miss T20I series against South Africa and skipped the T20I series against Bangladesh too.

However, one should not blame the two-time World cup wining captain who has been playing relentlessly since 2004; unabashedly, he deserves a sabbatical.

In a video shared by one of Dhoni's fans on social media platform Twitter, the 37-year-old can be seen returning a serve in a Tennis men's doubles match.

After announcing the 15-member squad for the ongoing T20I series against Bangladesh, Chief selector MSK Prasad had revealed that the management has decided to ‘moving on’ from Dhoni.

“This is our clear thought process that post World Cup we are focusing on Rishabh Pant only,” he said.

When the question on Dhoni’s future in international cricket was repeated, the chief selector added, “I made it very clear post the World Cup that we are moving on. We are giving opportunities to youngsters and see that they establish themselves in the side.

“With Rishabh Pant doing so well and even Sanju Samson coming into the side, I am sure you must be understanding our thought process.”
