New Delhi: Mahendra Singh Dhoni stepped in for one last time after stepping down as the captain of India’s shorter format team against England, bringing curtains down on his career as captain of Indian team after 9 years at the helm.
Unfortunately, Dhoni ended up one the losing side in his final match as captain as England defeated India by 3 wickets but the Ranchi man showed the entire world there is lot of cricket still remaining in him.
Huge crowd turned up at the Brabourne stadium in Mumbai to see their outgoing captain take charge one last time and Dhoni did not disappoint. The 36-year-old played an outstanding innings of 68 runs to take India to 304 runs.
Although, it was a warm-up game but it turned out to be an emotional affair for all Indian cricket fans.
