After slamming the 42nd ton of his ODI career, Kohli surprised the spectators with his single-handed catch to dismiss Evin Lewis off Kuldeep Yadav’s delivery.
The incident happened in the 24th over when Lewis struck the ball hard and it seemed like it will just go over the grasp of the Indian skipper stationed at the cover. However, Kohli leapt in the air and in one-motion clung onto the catch to bring an end to Lewis’ stay.

That magnificent catch put an end to Lewis’ magnificent 65-run knock which could have turned the tables against India.
Earlier in the first innings, Kohli scored an astounding 120 off 125 balls to power India to 279 in 50 overs. With his 42nd ODI ton, the Indian skipper surpassed Sourav Ganguly to become the second leading run-getter for India in ODIs.
Kohli also became the first-ever batsman in the history of the game to register 2,000 ODI runs against West Indies. He went past former Pakistan cricketer Javed Miandad’s tally of 1,903 runs against the Caribbean.
