Even before winning the toss, Indian skipper Virat Kohli did something special that he started receiving loud cheers from the fans, which came to support their home team in Australia. The huge crowd cheering for India mostly consisted of Indians.

Before the start of the game, the Indian skipper went to the stands to get clicked and give autographs and meet some of his fans.

"Captain Kohli with a heart-warming gesture before the start of game at The Gabba," the BCCI said in a tweet.

When Virat Kohli walks out to bat with the required rate touching 11, it could mean only two things - either his bowlers leaked far too many runs for comfort or he or the team management got the batting line-up horribly wrong. Both were applicable for India on Wednesday as Australia returned to winning ways after four consecutive T20 losses with a 4-run victory in the first T20I at Brisbane.

At the pre-match conference on Tuesday, Kohli said that his team would not back down if Australia crosses the line.

"Aggression depends on how the situation is on field. If the opposition is aggressive towards you then you counter it. India is not a team that starts anything but we always draw a line of self-respect. If that line is crossed, we stand up to that," Kohli said.
