New Zealand made a sloppy return to international cricket after a break of 6 months. They locked horns with Pakistan in a 3-match T20I series and got defeated in the first two games, ultimately lost the series.  On Friday, Pakistan hammered the Kiwis by 4 wickets and won their 11th T20 series on the trot.

Though New Zealand were left disappointed after a humiliating defeat, skipper Kane Williamson showed some terrific fielding skills on the ground to leave his fitness status.

The incident happened in the 5th over when opener Fakhar Zaman attempted to play a lofted shot off Adma Milne’s delivery. The ball didn’t carry and Williamson who was fielding at the mid-off region dived full length to pluck the ball from thin air.

The Kiwis got their first breakthrough while Pakistan were reduced to 40/1.

Despite a few wicket losses, Sarfraz’s men didn’t lose the hope. The 17th over turned out to be the game-changing moment for Pakistan. With 40 runs needed to win the game, Mohammad Hafeez slammed two sixes to Ish Sodhi to minimize the gap between the runs and the remaining balls. Eventually, with seven required from the final over, Pakistan wrapped up the business despite losing Shoaib Malik.
