Amid the struggle of the Indian bowlers against West Indies in the Hyderabad T20I, vice-captain Rohit Sharma exhibited some extra-ordinary fielding efforts which garnered immense applause on social media. His back-to-back acrobatic acts near the boundary rope left the viewers completely awestruck.

It all happened in the 17th over which was undoubtedly the most eventful. Shimron Hetmyer misjudged a sitter from Chahar and miscued the loft towards long-on. Washington Sundar, who had a tumultuous time on the field, dropped an easy catch. While the ball was racing towards the fence, Rohit suddenly appeared in the frame and dived to flick the ball in play.

Nobody believed what they saw but Rohit’s efforts certainly saved three precious runs.

Off the next delivery, Pollard fetched a pull but the top-edge went high towards long-on. Rohit stumbled while running but the ball stuck in his hands. Unfortunately, the momentum caused a misbalance and Rohit had to parry it back onto the ground before throwing himself out of the boundary.
